NOTICE In compliance with House Bill No. 1238 all potential bidders at the Court Administrator's Delinquent Land Tax Sale must do the following: 1. Register to bid. Registration forms must be completed and file stamped with the Department of Civil Process AT 1305 LOCUST, SECOND FLOOR, KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI 64106. NO LATER THAN TEN (10) DAYS PRIOR TO THE SALE. 2. Present a statement, with the completed registration form, from each city in which you own property that you are not the owner of any parcel of real estate with two or more convictions based on violations occurring within a two (2) year period of the municipality's building or housing codes. 3. Receive a bid number the day of the sale. No bids will be accepted without that number. 4. The exact time of sale will be at 10:00 A.M. 5. The only forms of payment accepted will be CASH, CASHIERS CHECK OR MONEY ORDER. Cashiers checks or money orders should be made payable to COURT ADMINISTRATOR or YOURSELF. We will Not accept a personal check, company check, credit card, checks drawn on a credit card or a line of credit from your bank. 6. PAYMENT MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME YOU BID. You will have no time to go to the bank, the car, etc., to get your money. The Independence sale will be held August 22, 2011. The list of parcels to be offered will be published four consecutive Friday's starting July 29, 2011, in The Pulse. The deadline to register to bid at that sale will be August 12, 2011, at 4:30 p.m. The Kansas City sale will be held August 29, 2011. The list of parcels to be offered will be published four consecutive Friday's starting August 5, 2011, in The Pulse. The deadline to register to bid at that sale will be August 19, 2011, at 4:30 p.m. The required statement from each city in which you own property may be obtained at City Hall with the exception of the City of Kansas City. If you own property in Kansas City you must get a printout from the Records Clerk at the Kansas City Police Department at 1125 Locust, Kansas City, Missouri. There will be a charge for the printout. The Jackson County Collections Department will review each application to determine if there are any delinquent real estate taxes on properties owned in whole or in part by each applicant. We will also verify that you have attached a statement from each city in which you own property. You will be notified if there are discrepancies that will exclude you from the bidding process. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THE TEN (10) DAY DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION.
