Some records were not filed with the state. Anyone is eligible to request a copy of a Michigan marriage record if the application is completed and signed and the required fee is paid. If requested, this office will conduct a search to determine that a marriage has not occurred in the State of Michigan for purposes of a forthcoming marriage in a foreign country. The applicant must specify exactly which years to search, usually from age 18 to the present, or the span of years that you resided in Michigan.
