The court notes that (circle one) father/mother/both parents have not yet completed the Parent Education Seminar required by Tenn. Code Ann. ยง36-6-408. The court today sets the case for a status review on Tuesday, the _______day of ___________, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. At that time the parent shall appear with their certificate showing completion of the Parent Education Seminar only at one of this court's approved programs: Child & Family Tennessee, 524-7483, or Dove Services-LifeBridge 804-1372, or Downtown YWCA Parenting Classes, 523-6126 or Integrous Counseling Center, 521-0008,or Parent Place Parenting Program, 544-0577, or Steps Co-Parenting Divorce Education, 981-7900 If he/she does not so appear, an order will issue, requiring him/her to appear and show cause why he/she should not be held in contempt of court (the penalty for which is indefinite incarceration) for failure to attend the statutorily required classes. Failure to so appear will lead to an attachment by the Sheriff; an appropriate appearance bond; and a hearing as to civil contempt, with right to counsel. Civil contempt is punishable, as noted, with incarceration of indefinite duration. Court costs will of course be assessed against the nonattending parent. The clerk shall provide copies to the persons indicated above.
