Plaintiffh'etitioner Case No. JUDGE HURLEY Defendanth'etitioner ORDER REQUIRING PARTIES TO ATTEND "FAMILIES SUCCEEDING AFTER DIVORCE" SEMINAR The Domestic Relations Court provides services to meet the needs of divorcing families. Among those services is "Families Succeeding After Divorce", as seminar for divorced or divorcing parents. This two hour seminar focuses on the needs of children during the divorce process, with emphasis on reducing bitterness, resolving conflicts, and improving visitation. Pursuant to the inherent powers of this Court, and in order to provide the efficient and inexpensive resolution of disputes, the Court finds that it is in the best interests of the children to require the parents to obtain additional parenting information. IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that both parents in this case shall pre-register within 15 days of filing, and attend and successfully complete the program entitled "Families Succeeding After Divorce", described in the attached information sheet. Both parties shall pre-register for the seminar. This can be accomplished by calling the Domestic Relations Court at (937) 562-6237 for the seminar dates and to pre-register. (If you are filing pro se, both parties must attend the seminar prior to your paperwork being approved by the Compliance Office for filing) The Domestic Relations Court will issue each participant a certificate of completion, and send a copy to the Clerk's office to be filed. It is the responsibility of the client's attorney to make sure both parties receive a copy of this Order. If parties are filing without the benefit of an attorney, a copy of this Order will be included with your dissolution packet. SO ORDERED. JUDGE STEVEN L. Although spouses may decide to end their marriage, their children will always need both their parents to be part of their lives. Help in Solving Problems Around the Children Who Must Attend By Local Rule of the Greene County Court of Common Pleas, Division of Domestic Relations, all parents with minor children who are parties to a divorce, dissolution, or legal separation action must register to attend the seminar. Pre-registration Pre-registration is required. Parents who have not pre-registered may not be admitted. Call Greene County Domestic Relations Court at (937) 562-6237 for seminar dates and to pre-register. Please have your court case number available when registering, if you have one. Certificates Certificates of attendance will be given to participants who complete the entire seminar. A seminar evaluation will be provided for your completion. The program will notify the Court of your attendance. No additional people will be allowed to attend the seminar with you. Children will not be permitted in the seminar. Child care is not provided. Fee A fee for the seminar is included in the Court's filing fees. Time Three seminars are held each month, one Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 1:30 a.m., one Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and one Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Participants are advised to arrive early. The door will be locked, and no one will be admitted after the seminar begins. Location Meetings are held at Domestic Relations Court, 595 Ledbetter Road, Xenia. Coming from Xenia, take Rt. 42 South. You will see signs for the BMV & Drivers Examination. Turn left onto Ledbetter Road. The entrance is the second set of double doors from the right end of the building. Parking Parking is provided in the county parking area. Beverages Participants may bring coffee, water, pop, etc., as there are no vending machines available.
