A STATEMENT OF COMMITMENT I, _______________________________, having completed the initial training session to become a CASA volunteer, do agree to the following: To commit to one year of service as a CASA volunteer (or at minimum working a assigned case to completion, which may be up to one year.) To commit an average of three to four hours a week on the case assigned to me. To commit to the attendance of hearings involving my case(s). To attend the minimum required 15 hours of CASA in-service trainings. To act in a responsible professional manner in accordance with CASA volunteer policies and procedures. To be an independent advocate for the best interests of the child. To uphold the pledge of confidentiality. To attend monthly case supervision. To maintain complete, accurate case files, recording all contacts and findings. To submit draft court reports to the CASA program on time and as required, 10 business days prior to any court hearing. To submit a written resignation to the CASA Coordinator with as much notice as possible. To maintain commitment to the mission statement and goals of the program.
