Probate court Form No. 17 Motion to Appoint A Special Administrator STATE OF VERMONT PROBATE COURT DISTRICT OF ,SS. DOCKET NO. IN RE THE ESTATE OF LATE OF MOTION TO APPOINT A SPECIAL ADMINISTRATOR The undersigned represents to the court as follows: [ ] That the delay intervening between a persons death and the appointment of an administrator or an executor will jeopardize the estate and, therefore, I request the court to appoint a special administrator for the purpose of collecting the assets of the estate and preserving the estate until a permanent administrator or executor is appointed. In support of this motion, the facts are [ ] That the executor or administrator has made a claim against the estate, therefore, I request the court to appoint a special administrator to settle the claim of the executor or administrator. [ ] That there is a delay in granting letters testamentary or of administration, and that a special administrator is needed to collect and take charge of the estate until the questions causing the delay are decided and an executor or administrator is thereupon appointed.
