NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF BAR EXAMINERS (NCBE) Request for Preparation of a Character Report Fee Schedule FEE CATEGORY DESCRIPTION Law student whose request for a character report is received at NCBE I: LAW STUDENT REGISTRANT $200 less than 15 months after first enrollment in law school. Anticipated or recent law school graduate; AND J.D. was awarded less than one year before this application is received at NCBE; AND II: FIRST BAR ADMISSION OR $275 The applicant has not been admitted to the practice of law in any jurisdiction at the time this application is filed; OR LATE LAW STUDENT REGISTRANT * The applicant is a law student whose request for a character report is received at NCBE more than 15 months after first enrollment in law school. Presently a member of a bar; OR III: ATTORNEY/BAR ADMISSION * $375 Not a member of a bar, but the application is received at NCBE more than one year after the J.D. was awarded. Applicant's first law degree was not obtained in the United States, IV: FOREIGN-EDUCATED OR $750 whether or not a subsequent U.S. law degree was conferred; OR FOREIGN-LICENSED ATTORNEY Current or former member of a bar of a foreign country.
