Complaint for Protection from Harassment pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws chapter 258E, section 3, requesting that you be ordered not to harass or abuse the Plaintiff and for other relief as indicated. A judge will conduct a hearing on the Plaintiff's Complaint at this court on the date and time shown above. YOU ARE HEREBY SUMMONED TO APPEAR before this Court at that date and time if you wish to be heard on whether the Court should issue the requested Order. At that hearing, you will have an opportunity to cross-examine any witnesses offered by the Plaintiff. You may also offer witnesses or other evidence on your behalf and you may be heard on whether the Court should issue the requested Order. If you wish, you may retain counsel to represent you at that hearing. IF YOU DO NOT APPEAR AT THE HEARING, EITHER PERSONALLY OR BY COUNSEL, THE COURT MAY ISSUE THE REQUESTED ORDER WITHOUT HEARING FROM YOU.
