R. CIV. P. 4(d)(2)(A) UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT CENTRAL DISTRICT OF CALIFORNIA 18 Court to effectuate service of process in this matter on defendant 20 requested that the defendant waive service in accordance with the procedures 21 specified in Fed. R. Civ. P. 4(d)(1). The request was sent by first-class mail on 22 24 and gave the defendant days after the request was sent 23 to return the waiver form. As a result of the defendant's failure to return the waiver form within the 25 allotted time, it became necessary for the United States Marshall to effectuate 26 personal service on the defendant.
