FORM EC100 - CLAIMANT’S PETITION FOR COMPENSATION FOR ERRONEOUS CONVICTION PURSUANT TO N.C. GEN. STAT. § 148-82 ET SEQ. This form is used to request financial compensation from the State of North Carolina by individuals who were wrongfully convicted of a felony and later determined to be innocent. Form EC100 is filed with the North Carolina Industrial Commission pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. § 148-82 et seq. It requires the claimant to identify the felony conviction(s), dates and places of incarceration, and either a Governor’s Pardon of Innocence or a dismissal of charges by a three-judge panel after a determination of innocence. The petitioner must state the amount of compensation sought and provide a factual explanation supporting the claim.
