Description

6DC-NTCSTLMT - NOTICE OF SETTLEMENT OF APPEAL (Cal. Rules of Court, rule 8.244(a)). This form is used in the California Court of Appeal, Sixth Appellate District, to notify the court and all parties that a civil appeal has been resolved through settlement. This form must be filed by the appellant who has reached a settlement and must include proof of service to the other parties involved. Under California Rules of Court, rule 8.244(a), the appellant is required to file a request to dismiss or abandon the appeal within 45 days of filing the notice, unless an extension is granted for good cause or upon joint request. The form allows the appellant to indicate whether the entire appeal or only specific parties have settled, whether dismissal will be filed within 45 days, and whether an extension or stay of pending court actions is being requested. If oral argument has already been scheduled or the appeal has been submitted, the appellant must promptly notify the Clerk’s Office. www.FormsWorkflow.com
