CR-117 - REQUEST TO APPEAR OR ATTEND REMOTELY – CRIMINAL / TRAFFIC. This form is used in the Superior Court of California, County of Monterey, to request permission to appear or attend a criminal or traffic court proceeding remotely. It applies only where remote appearances are legally allowed and when prior express authorization from the court has been obtained. The form must be completed and filed at least two court days before the scheduled hearing—traffic requests go to the Marina Division, while other criminal matters are filed in the Salinas Division. The form allows attorneys, defendants, witnesses, victims, family members, and others involved in the case to request remote access by providing details about the hearing, the individuals seeking to appear remotely, and the reasons for the request.
