REQUEST TO RESEARCH RECORDS. This form is used to request a name-based search of criminal, traffic, or civil case records maintained by the Reno Justice Court in Nevada. The requesting party must provide their name, contact information, and specify the subject of the search, including all known names, aliases, and date of birth. A fee of $1.00 per name per year searched is required under NRS 4.060, and if cases are found, an additional fee of $0.50 per page is charged for copies of the case summaries (dockets). The form allows searches covering up to twenty years. It is the responsibility of the requesting party to ensure the accuracy of names and birthdates, and each variation of a name is treated as a separate request with an associated fee. If additional documents beyond the docket are needed, a separate copy request must be submitted.
