WAIVER OF PRESENCE OF DEFENDANT AT ARRAIGNMENT. This form is used in the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas allows a defendant in a criminal case to formally waive their right to be physically present at their arraignment. By signing this form, the defendant acknowledges receipt of the indictment, enters a plea of Not Guilty to all charges (while reserving the right to change the plea later), and waives the formal reading of the charges in open court. However, the defendant explicitly retains all other constitutional rights, including the right to a speedy trial.
