JC-1690 - PETITION IN JUVENILE COURT FOR TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER AND/OR PETITION AND MOTION FOR INJUNCTION HEARING (CHILD ABUSE – 30710). This form is used in the Wisconsin Circuit Court and may be filed by a child, parent, guardian, stepparent, or agency involved in a CHIPS (Child in Need of Protection or Services) proceeding. The form is used when the respondent has allegedly committed or may commit abuse, including physical injury, sexual abuse, emotional harm, or other harmful conduct toward the child. The petitioner must provide specific facts about the abuse or threat, including dates, incidents, and any prior court orders that relate to contact between the parties. The court is asked to restrict the respondent’s contact with the child and may also order protection for household pets, assign child support, and appoint a guardian ad litem. If granted, the Temporary Restraining Order remains in effect until the injunction hearing.
