CCP 1023 - NOTICE TO HEIRS AND LEGATEES - FOREIGN WILL DENIED. This form is used in the Probate Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois to notify individuals named as heirs or legatees that a petition to admit a foreign will to probate has been denied by court order. Attached to the notice are copies of both the petition and the court’s denial order. According to Section 8-2 of the Illinois Probate Act of 1975 [755 ILCS 5/8-2], recipients of this notice have the right to contest the denial by filing a petition with the court within six months of the entry of the denial order.
