Description
FAMILY COURT GENERAL ORDER. This form is used in the Circuit Court of the Twenty-Third Judicial Circuit in DeKalb County, Illinois, serves to record decisions, findings, and scheduling in family law cases. This form is completed by the court during or after a hearing to reflect the presence or absence of the parties and their attorneys, the judge presiding over the matter, and the courtroom or Zoom information for remote appearances. It is used to document various types of rulings, including judgments entered in favor of one party and against another, often involving the awarding of attorney’s fees under the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act (750 ILCS 5/508). The form may also be used to continue the case to a future date for a status hearing, trial, or additional motions, such as fee allocation. It allows the court to note if a defendant has been found in default for failing to respond, if the case has been dismissed without prejudice, or if other orders or findings are being entered. The form is signed and dated by the judge, and it indicates whether a copy of the order has been or should be sent to relevant parties, such as attorneys or guardians ad litem. www.FormsWorkflow.com
