Description
Form MC 51 - ORDER ON OBJECTIONS TO GARNISHMENT. This form is used in Michigan courts to resolve disputes regarding a writ of garnishment, which is a legal order requiring a third party (garnishee) to withhold money from a debtor to satisfy a judgment. When a defendant (judgment debtor) objects to the garnishment, a hearing is held to determine whether the objections are valid. This form records the court’s decision, either upholding the garnishment or releasing withheld funds back to the defendant. Depending on the ruling, the garnishee may be ordered to continue withholding funds for the creditor or return them to the debtor. Approved, SCAO. MCR 3.101(K). www.FormsWorkflow.com
