Description
2210 - CITATION TO DISCOVER ASSETS - (JUDGMENT DEBTOR). This form is used in the Circuit Court of the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit in DuPage County, Illinois. It is issued to a defendant (judgment debtor) who has been ordered to appear before the presiding judge at the specified court location and date. The purpose of the citation is to examine the defendant under oath concerning their property, income, or indebtedness due to satisfy a judgment entered against them in favor of the plaintiff (judgment creditor). The citation commands the defendant to produce all books, papers, or records in their possession or control that may contain information concerning their property or funds owed to them. It also prohibits the defendant from making any transfer or disposition of property belonging to the judgment debtor until further order of the court or termination of the proceeding. The form includes a warning that failure to appear in court as directed may result in arrest and contempt of court charges, punishable by imprisonment. Additionally, it includes a certificate section where the attorney or judgment creditor certifies the amount of judgment, balance due, date of judgment/revival, and other relevant information under penalties provided by law. www.FormsWorkflow.com
