LASC FAM 218 - REQUEST TO CONTINUE HEARING DATE FOR A REQUEST FOR ORDER OR MOTION AND ORDER THEREON (FAMILY LAW). This is a Los Angeles Superior Court form used to request a continuance of a scheduled Request for Order (RFO) or motion hearing. This form may be used only if filed more than 45 calendar days before the current hearing date. If fewer than 45 days remain, a party must seek relief by ex parte application or appear at the hearing. The form requires disclosure of prior continuances, a statement of good cause, and three proposed new hearing dates at least 35 days after the current date.
