PPC-1 - STIPULATION & ORDER APPOINTING PARENTING PLAN COORDINATOR. This is used in Los Angeles family law cases when parents agree to appoint a Parenting Plan Coordinator (PPC), also known as a Parent Coordinator or Child Custody Special Master. Through this detailed stipulation, the parents voluntarily authorize the PPC to act as a quasi-judicial officer to help resolve disputes regarding clarification, implementation, and adaptation of a court-ordered parenting plan. The order defines the PPC’s authority across three levels of decision-making (Levels 1–3), establishes procedures for review by the court, sets confidentiality and communication rules, and outlines fee allocation and enforcement. The PPC’s term, scope of authority, compensation, and grievance procedures are clearly defined within the 18-page order. This stipulation has been developed by the Family Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and is designed to provide a standard template for general use when there is a detailed parenting (custody-visitation) plan.
