L-0790 - REQUEST FOR COURT REPORER BY PARTY WITH FEE WAIVER, This form is used in Orange County Superior Court by litigants who have been granted a court fee waiver and need an official court reporter for a trial or evidentiary hearing. Pursuant to California Rules of Court, rule 3.55, eligible parties may request that the court provide a reporter to create a verbatim record of proceedings where oral testimony will be presented. The form requires identification of the hearing type, date, time, and department. It must be filed at least 10 calendar days before the date set for the trial or evidentiary hearing. The court, for good cause, may shorten or waive the 10-day requirement. The clerk will notify the party as soon as possible if no official court reporter will be available. Given the general unavailability of official court reporters, final notice of the availability of a court reporter may not be known until the day of the trial or evidentiary hearing.
